About This Event
Think sharks only live in the middle of the ocean? Think again! Meet Julia Saltzman, a marine ecologist who uses satellite tags, kind of like GPS for sharks, to follow shark pups through Miami's busy waterways and the wild Everglades. Julia is trying to unlock the secrets of how these little sharks share our space in order to protect them. Come find out how research informs ocean protection policies and saves marine wildlife. Along the way, students will discover that some of Florida’s most important shark habitats occur in locations they might not expected.
