Courtyard: Grasslands

Courtyard: Grasslands

Not as dry as deserts and not as wet as forests, grasslands are open spaces that support many animal species, large and small. Perhaps no other habitat on Earth has more famous examples of the circle of life than grassland habitats, displayed in the museum courtyard with a spotted hyena and a white-backed vulture competing to consume a blue wildebeest carcass in Africa's savanna.

Use this collection as a companion material for the Museum of Exploration’s outdoor Courtyard. You can also explore more Museum of Exploration Education Resource collections.
