Learning Launchpad: Thinking Like a Geographer
Learning Launchpad: Thinking Like a Geographer
Geographers are curious about the world and its interconnections. They ask spatial questions: Where is it? Why is it there? Why do we care? They collect information, explore further and visualize what it all means. Doing so informs their understanding of the relationships between people and place. As a result, geographers analyze the impact of human actions and create solutions to pressing problems. Thinking like a geographer – modeled by the National Geographic Explorers featured in this collection – inspires us to ask questions and develop a deeper understanding of the places and spaces where we live, work and play.
