Out of Eden 10th Anniversary: Human Migration

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and National Geographic Explorer Paul Salopek is on a "slow journalism" expedition retracing our ancestors’ migration on foot out of Africa and across the globe. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Paul's first steps on this journey, the National Geographic Society is bringing the Out of Eden Walk to the classroom with a selection of dispatches modified for fifth- and eighth-grade reading levels. This collection of dispatches revolves around the topic of Human Migration.

Though these dispatches were chosen with care, some deal with subject matter that may be distressing for some readers. Where necessary, dispatches include content warnings in bold text.
