Create your climate! Terraforma allows you to create the world around you to fit the perfect climate for your population. With knowing the location, season, and time of day, you can change the terrain to fit their climate needs.

Pre-Game Discussion Questions:

  • What are temperature and humidity?
  • What are different things that might affect an area's temperature and humidity?
  • How does the geography of an environment affect the climate of the area?
  • What type of weather do you have in the area where you live?
  • Does the area you live in experience all four seasons?
  • Would the weather be the same if you moved to a different time zone in the same region?

Post-Game Discussion Questions:

  • How did elevation affect an area's temperature and humidity?
  • If you wanted to decrease an area's humidity and increase its temperature, what might you use to do that and why?
  • Pick four of the following conditions and, in your own words, explain how they affect an area's temperature and/or humidity in the game: jungle, forest, tundra, desert, summer, winter, day, night, wind, snow, rain?
  • Which factors did you alter that were most successful in creating the desired climate?
  • What was most important to change in order to create the desired climate?
